GP is a Gatekeeper. They are there to keep you away from getting specialist help from NHS. I just wish they were more involved and gave you proper options of help especially when you were coming for so long with the same issue. It's like doctors aim to tick boxes and do what makes them look good on paper. The minimum required help. They also seem very resistant in referring you to appropriate specialised help. Or maybe it's just that mental health isn't taken seriously. They do everything to keep it local in the surgery instead of listening and putting you through to whoever specialises in your problems. Of course some things can be dealt with locally, like if you've got a flu. But if there is something wrong then you deserve a proper examination dont you

If you would like to get a quick appointment try it online . I always book it after 12 am online and there are always empty places for even the next day.

The receptionist are always friendly and helpful, however the area in not very private and everyone in waiting area can hear your business. The surgery is very clean and well presented
